Agree with ATLIS re the now minimum expectation of quarter finals. Forfar are clearly a good team but I fancy us to win by the odd goal in normal time.

Dale Hilson has been a pain in the arse for years so no surprise to see him score. Pleasing to be the only team through today in normal time. Given the extra times currently going on, there is potential for a favourable draw in the next round.

Windy windy place
Some forfar fans are absolute warmers- pushing Ayr fans close

Anyway football was nearly played easy win made to look hard

Bartley / Crawford great game both
As much as they could with that wind.

Birdies shite - beer good

Onward and upward for the livi

Absolutely devastated for the lads, everyone gave their all, unfortunately falling short, bit confused why when we got back into the game with Hilson’s goal we seemed to sit back again?
Wish Weir had it in him to just have a go in games like this.

No idea what the score line would have been if it wasn’t for Marc McCallum, some top class saves & deservedly man of the match.

Thought Dykes caused us a lot of problems with his physical presence.

A lot of fans venting their anger towards the end of the game, didn’t think he had that bad a game few fouls and cards he could of given but didn’t, bit of inconsistency but that’s just the standards we have in Scotland unfortunately.

Darren Whyte being out was a massive miss for us today, hopefully not out injured for too long.

It was fun while it lasted focus turns to the league on Saturday away to Peterhead.

Come on the loons! [emoji1319][emoji170]

Good luck in the next round Livi!

Job done, how it only finished 2-1 I’ll never know.

Should've had another 3 or 4, Dykes missed a sitter, Pittman should’ve had another, pretty clear pen missed when Crawford got kicked in the face.

Overall it was a really poor game but we are through.

Robinson made us better second half, overall Dykes was motm for us but tells a story that McCallum was excellent in goals and the best player for Forfar and kept the score down.

We're saving up all our goals for Hearts at the Spaghettihad in the next round, fancy us to stick 6 past them this time.

Last time a Brechin fan made a prediction about Livi it was to tell us we'd be coming straight back down after beating their team and winning League One, that worked out well for them. Back to back promotions and comfortably staying up in the Premiership the following season, we'll prob get to the final of the Betfred cup now, cheers.:guinness

Plastic team.....franchise scum...good luck in the next round .....not.

Similar story to most of the games I’ve seen us this season - carve out plenty of chances, don’t take many and then let the opposition back in with some woeful defending. I like Dykes and he puts in a power of a shift but he is never going to be goalscorer that we require to be any sort of success in the top flight. There were actually several instances in the second half where Robinson was challenging up to flick on high balls to Dykes, ffs - Dykes would utterly excel at the support striker role with someone else up top with him.

Forfar played some really neat stuff at times and certainly made the last half hour very uncomfortable viewing. Pleased to see Marc McCallum doing well after a bit of a torrid time with us. Not much to base on having only seen them and Falkirk, but would be surprised at all if Forfar were comfortably top four/pushing for League 1 this season.

Good luck Loons, hoping for a home tie for ourselves next.
