McBurnie's socks

Fair play to him. Any sad twats bothering people in the street because they kick a ball for a team you don't like deserves a good leathering.

Unless it's a young teenager he's going after of course. That would be a different matter.

Yeah spot on pal. He should just go about assaulting folk 👍🏻

Don't goad people in public and film them for a reaction if you don't want that reaction to have negative consequences for you 👍

There's one person who came out of this looking like a p***k and it's McBurnie.

Probably should have scored some goals if he didn't want to be laughed at for getting relegated.

I don't think he looks a p***k really.

An ill-advised idiot for reacting yes. But also understandble. The wee fanny should release the rest of the uncut video prior to him getting a slap. No doubt throwing all manner of abuse.

All reports online suggest the young lad simply made fun of him for being relegated.

McBurnie had proved he was an arsehole beyond doubt previously. Doesn't need this to confirm it.

How the likes of Neil Lennon hasnt swung for anyone yet given the nonsense he gets on a regular basis is remarkable.

Has he not? There are pretty regular stories that do the rounds about Neil Lennon in Ashton Lane being thrown out of places after some shit has started.

People obviously don't have the right to act any way they want towards public figures but public figures need to realise they can't just attack everyone who doesn't like them, or winds them up. By that logic Conor McGregor would've been entirely justified in punching that old man in the pub.

No chance. You can't use that example, Mcgregor just belted the old fella for not wanting his whiskey. That happened because McGregor is a fud, not because anyone goaded him.

I think I ultimately agree, there's a line to be drawn somewhere. But frankly I'll not be feeling sorry for anyone who goes looking for a reaction like this and ends up with a sore face, or be wringing my hands over the perpetrator.

You have no idea what was said between McGregor and the old man before the punch was thrown. He could've said anything about him that others might think was deserving of a slap, but McGregor is globally famous and ultimately needs to be a lot more responsible with his actions than Joe Public.

I don't really have any sympathy for the wee kid in this video here, if you act like a wee dick sooner or later someone will clout you, but McBurnie should know better and can't complain about any consequences that come his way.

The guy shouting certainly doesn’t sound like he is quite the full shilling. Also is there another guy shouting PUSSY at McBurnie whilst he kicks f**k out his pals

Will be interesting to see if there is any more footage for context as to why he has reacted the way he did but it doesn't look good.

A rather bizarre video.

And conveniently, no part of the video supports or argues against that.  I expect all reports online will point towards it, as McBurnie's unlikely to come out at this stage and go "naw ye didnae" (or Yorkshire equivalent if that was him talking).  I expect the people goading him will be doing the butter-wouldn't-melt routine, because there's no way they could have possibly done anything to provoke him by being utter c***s themselves, right?

And that's not siding with McBurnie, he's been fucking stupid, which seems to be par for the course with him.  But the other side hardly comes out of it very well.

A rather bizarre video.

The reaction to him trying to leather the guys doesn't scream to me like they're the injured party.  Hate to get all armchair psychologist, but the resigned "pussy" call sounds a bit resigned, like they can't quite believe there were consequences for their actions.

He’s been arrested over it now

Well, a "24-year-old man" has been arrested.

And of course, to provide context to the story, it's vitally important to mention that "McBurnie, 24, is part of the [Sheffield Utd] squad whose relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on 17 April".

The journalist may be in line for a slap from McBurnie as well now.

I think you could make a cogent argument that everyone in that video comes out looking like a p***k, albeit to varying degrees.

And to the surprise of only the ones desperate for it to be his fault, turns out that the original video wasn't the whole story

So just hours after a story was published with his side, it's been blown out of the water by watching him say a wee bit more than "lolz you got relegated", and following him and his girlfriend down the street.

McBurnie is fucking stupid to react in this way, but paints a slightly different picture than him dishing out an unprovoked battering on a child.

EDIT: And on looking at it again, it just shows the shite they have to deal with.  I don't want to go all Uncle Albert and start talking about the war, but when I was a teenager, I always thought that if I acted like a dick, there would be consequences, so I often decided not to.  This guy started following McBurnie with a camera and firing abuse at them purely because he didn't think there would be any consequences.  f**k him.

I’m no fan of McBurnie and violence is never the answer but videoing yourself abusing someone then getting kicking only to then sell your story to the sun. No case to answer for McBurnie.

Other boy is an absolute embarrassment from start to finish.
