Alloa Athletic vs Partick Thistle

Recommended Posts

Jagfox must still be on his holidays or something...

After not losing an opening day league game for about 8 years prior to 2017, we've lost the last two on the bounce.

Suppose the main question is have Alloa changed the pitch dimensions from last year? We seemed to cope with it pretty comfortably in the 2-0 game in February albeit the early goal there made a huge difference. Despite winning the LC group we don't seem to have settled on a formation or too many definite starters, would take a punt at the team being (assuming pitch dimensions unchanged)

Sneddon

Williamson O'Ware McGinty Penrice

Palmer Bannigan

Cardle Gordon Robson

Miller

Subs: Fox, Saunders, Wilson, de Vita, Austin, Mansell, Jones

Certainly a stronger squad position than the infamous Ayr game last year.

No ..and don't start on us ..we have no sway on the boards decisions and a lot of us don't like it

as for the game you are favourites we need more players in and hopefully we can bodge a draw or sneak a win .

Roll and pie and three points on Saturday will be a splendid start to the season.
Have Alloa made any loan signings yet?

None.

Grant said he wanted some signings in before this game but not sure how they’re going. The likes of Zanatta came in a few games into the season last year when the Prem teams were a bit more open to the idea.

Looking forward to this.  Defence still worries me so I reckon 1-3. Lets hope Alloa see sense and move those wee weans that were behind the goal the last time.  The comedy element disappeared after about 5 minutes and they were just a distraction from what was happening on the pitch!
