Hibs v. Morton

Recommended Posts

Incredible stuff let down by an appalling referee and his equally appalling nearside linesman.

Great scenes when we scored the 2nd and again when we equalised late on. Worrying that a really crap Hibs (who were there for the taking) ended up putting five past us, regardless of the decisions they got. Up front we still look strong, with  Cadden whipping that left back in the first half.

Kudos to Hibs for scoring all of the goals, too.

Thank you Sevco, it's appreciated.

Man of the match - Glenn Middleton

Not fully match fit but the winger on loan from Rangers had a part in two of Hibs' goals and otherwise showed flashes of the skill and pace that led Paul Heckingbottom to bring him to Easter Road.

With him on one wing and Daryl Horgan on the other - both capable of playing either wide or even behind the striker, Hibs look a real attacking threat. They could do with sorting their defence out though

Well done to the 50 or so Rangers fans who turned up today to follow one of their other 'proddy' teams. A nice wee day out in sunny Edinburgh for them. bQshDtu.png

Not too sure about this. Morton have always been 50/50 with a touch of anti OF!

Anyway if they did it was to watch Middleger who had a good game until his legs went.

Kamberri 's skill is worth seeing again did anyone catch it on their mobile? Hoppy might need it to assist his defence

Good game with defences on top as predicted.

Hibs more clinical and maybe a wee dodgy decision in extra time? Who knows. Good showing from us anyway.

Nice clean challenge from Vela to start the attack for the 4th goal. The Morton defender desperately trying to wave for offside on the 5th 🤣

Still to see these apparent decisions Morton fans have been whinging about... not a single Morton player signalled for handball when Kamberi chested it past Rogers and as previously mentioned.. it was a clean tackle from Vela

Into the next round and onto next week vs St Johnstone, which'll probably be the make or break for Hecky

Emm….when the 'highlights 'become apparent....check the Hibs boy blatantly handballing the ball in the box for the Hibees 3rd goal......Indisputable.

I mean considering the only time Kamberi touched the ball in the box for the 3rd was when he slotted it home.. and again not Morton players signalling for any handball.. especially McLean who had the best view of anyone

Unlucky m9

I mean if you feel it would benefit you then feel free. Kamberi never scored off a cross.. none of our goals came from crosses.. two lobs from Slivka for the 3rd and 5th goals yes.. crosses no

Aye, Hopkin will realise he’s absolutely fucked it when he sees the Vela tackle back for the fourth goal. Clean tackle.

Also failing to see any handball for our third goal.
