Peterhead v Falkirk

Haven't been on P&B for a while. Why are East Fife,Raith ,Falkirk fans getting their c0kz out rambling about their cup history when it's a thread about the Phd v Falkirk game on Saturday thread? Fckn despair. Is this what the League 1 forums about?

It's quite normal. Old, established clubs, languishing in the backwater that is league one, reminiscing of days gone by . Mostly of stories told them by their grandfathers, or in some cases ,great grandfathers.

Fallen on hard times they take to indulging in that old schoolboy game of ' I can pish higher than you'.

This manifests itself in the roll call of cups won. Regardless of time passed since the event happened.

I'm now wondering how long it will be before the appearance of ......

How many fish did you catch today?

How many sheep remain unmolested in the North East?

What has your team ever won?

Or some such .

Interesting to see that Peterhead defender Cameron Eadie is in the SPFL Team of the Week. He was born in Falkirk and was on the FFC books for 3 years until being freed 2 years ago.

He was one of our Academy player who featured for the U20s. He got an initial two year deal which was extended by a year as the club looked after him when he got a serious knee injury. Was never anywhere near our first team, probably because he was fairly small for a centre-half.

It was good to see that he's still in the game. How has he been with you guys?

He was used sparingly last season but has managed to work his way into the team this season and has been playing really well so far.

Majority of Peterhead fans would've bit your hand off for a point on here, we are the favourites for the league, biggest budget, that comment didn't make me blink. The less said about McKinnons the better

.....and given we are on a run of 13 years since we last won an opening game of the season, and McKinnon’s tendency to see one point as some sort of victory, then Peterhead were always going to get their draw.

Anything less than a convincing three points on Saturday, and the Bunsen burner needs to be lit under McKinnon’s arse.

The fans NEED to see an attacking performance on Saturday. We have been through two years of turgid football and we are now where it deserved. We have built a team of players who would survive in the Championship so we need to produce commanding displays in this league. We want goals Ray not excuses

Where on earth have you built a team that would survive in the Championship? You're not in the Championship. Which means you've possibly built a team that gets you OUT of league one. The disrespect that emanates from you and your fellow Falkirk fanboys reeks of pish. Ok. You've been relegated. You're not that good. Thats accepted. But wheres the Billy Big Balls attitude coming from?

What a bollox post!
The point was that this team would be good enough to compete in the Championship IF that’s where we were.
Consequently they should be in a decent position to win this league.

You’re really struggling with this .

No, I think you are.

It was quite obvious what the boy was saying, you've just decided to read something into it to suit your agenda.

Yes as I said we are very deservedly in the League we should be in following last years displays. No disrespect Ester but we have a team of full time players. What do your players do during the week?

What do your full time team do during the week?  It wasn't enough obviously.

Which was exactly the point he was making.
Correct. My point is that on paper we SHOULD win this league being a full time team that has a big player budget. But as we saw on Saturday that sometimes does not matter but it really should. Ray McKinnon and his tactics are sadly the key
