Peterhead v Falkirk

Recommended Posts

Is it Saturday yet?

Away day aside, it’s such a massive game for us. We need to start as we mean to go on. Could this be the first opening day win since 2007? Bloody hope so.

MacLean is the only doubt now & Durnan is back so assuming no further additions before Saturday (although you never know) I think we’ll line up;

Bell

Dixon

Durnan

Buchanan

Doyle

Gomis

Connolly

Tidser

Telfer

Sammon

McManus

Subs;

Mutch

Toshney

McShane

Leitch

Johnstone

I've got a feeling it will be a scoring draw, we don't do first day wins.
Will Durnan not still be suspended if it was classed as violent conduct?
Just seen response on other thread, be good if it is only a suspension for cup games not league

I was told it was 1 game straight away plus the next cup tie (which will be the Challenge Cup tie at home versus either Queens Park/Celtic Colts).

BainsfordBairn May be able to confirm though?

Anyone who thinks we will roll this league over need only look at the league cup results. Airdrie, Peterhead, Forfar and East Fife all doing well in stronger groups than us. Skinny squad still a huge issue IMO. Hopefully Campbell is the real deal and gets his DD done pronto

Hoping for a win but draw probably. Long drive ahead

League cup means nothing though. Loads of crazy results as teams experiment and try to get players fit.  East fife beat dundee united but they themselves got pumped by cowdenbeath. The likes of stirling drew with hibs then shipped 6 to arbroath.  Skinny squad could be an issue but if we dont win this league by 15 to 20 points then mckinnon needs to have a good look at himself. The likes of dunfermlinr  livi and queens have cruised it with smaller budgets than us.  With no mcallister we wont get a better chance to.beat these guys.

15 to 20 points? We should be winning it and winning it comfortably but come on now, far too early for that sort of talk

15-20 points !! Let’s hope the players don’t have that attitude or complacency could set in.

Sevco won it by 40 odd. Livi, dunfermline and queens all by 15 to 20 odd. That should be our expectations considering our budget.  Cant see why people are getting the hump. If we dont then we've underperformed given our advantages.

I’m sure we have the capability but we also have a very small squad.

My point was I hope the players don’t become big headed and arrogant.
