Ayr v Morton

Recommended Posts

The defence and keeper will throw in 4 every game. 2 defenders and a goalkeeper are sorely needed. Ayr didn't even have to work for any of those goals, we simply presented them. Doohan wasn't very good either.

Didn't think Ayr got out of third gear there but should have won that more comfortably. Two great eaves from the keeper and two defensive errors kept Morton in it. Morton look to have gone backwards if that's possible. Very little to offer except a hoof up the park.

Defensive errors played a huge role in us finding ourselves 3-0 down to begin with, and cost us the 4th. Moot point to suggest we only scored due to your errors.

A lot more comfortable than the score line suggests, you guys are in for a long season if you are going to play hoofball all season the I know it worked for Hopkin at Livi bit it's not good to watch, so glad we didn't sign Aiden Nisbet he's a moaning faced wee c--t

Why was Robbie Muirhead at left back?

Why was van Schaik signed?

Why is Tumilty still at this club?

Why is McAlister starting on midfield ahead of Lyon and Millar?

Why is Blues coming on in midfield ahead of Lyon and Millar?

Why have we not signed a competent keeper yet?

Moff is really buzzing atm, playing like a man possessed. Doc, Kelly & Forrest 2nd half all stood out. Can see why McCall wants another CB, may be an area that is our weak spot this season. Roscoe is more of a work in progress. Adams played well when he came on, kept it simple and won his challenges. Liked it when a Morton diddy ran into him and bounced off him, and got the foul.

Nice of us to give Morton a glimmer of hope before dashing it at the end. Pleasing.

All in all an easy three points. Slightly concerning that we gifted two goals away though. Still at least a good start and Morton are starting to become our bitches again

Moff and Forrest were standouts. Not long until Sir Michael of Moffat gets his hundredth for us

The only thing that Morton really offered was physicality. A big bunch of bruisers.

What he said^

Really pleased with Forrest today. He was outstanding. Hopefully he keeps that level up for the season. I share McCall's thoughts though that if he does he might be off.

Morton offered very little it was like a training match for us for long spells today. Good 3 points to start.

Yes all Morton supporters at the game asked those question.

Is there a player in Van Shite.

Cadden had a good game.

Nesbitt got no great support, McAlister has no pace and sits too deep to assist, worries he can't get back. Surely can now only start in the back line.

I had great hope's for Lyon this year he has the legs and ability to get forward a must start. Blues a headless chicken.

We will loose lots of goals so will need to get forward and outscore the opposition.

Today is not where our season will be judged but next week is now a must win.
