Johnson and his gang can't afford serious scrutiny so they indulge in a blizzard of activity to deflect on a permanent basis. There has been so much in last few weeks/months that has really damaged them and this adds to it. Had it broke in Jan, they would have cracked on with the Covid response and the vaccines would have been their saviour. What will happen now is a couple of bods from the video will be sacrificed and all the blame put on them. I'd like to think you're right, but with the passage of time I don't see it. It has quite rightly angered people, but I don't think it'll be fatal. We only really have the anger of what they did, rather than the anger and also the presence of incredibly harsh restrictions. The party might just have knifed him then. Now, they'll mutter a bit whilst the Ministers double down the denials. Does Stratton still have a position to be fired from? I thought she'd been punted from the Comms gig to some COP role that will now have finished.
