First time I recall games being lost on opening day - nevermind 5 out of 20 (or 6 out of 27 including LL). Back in 2008-09 every EOSL game on the opening midweek was lost to torrential rains except Gala v Gretna, IIRC, which handily I'd chosen to attend.
