Ginaro
I make that Bonnyrigg 454 and Kelty 436 average attendance from their four games, better than 7 SFPL clubs. 21 hours ago, Hampden Diehard said: Some of the LL attendances are sobering, but not in a good way. Very likely one of the sub-100 teams will be relegated this season and replaced by a 200 or 300+ team from the EOS.
HibeeJibee
You're seeing the effect of Kelty's challenge and the arrival of Bonnyrigg and Mightily-supported Berwick on top end figures. I make it 10 LL crowds of over 400 already v 1 HL and 1 EOSL.

HibeeJibee
All rocketed exponentially: Gretna moving from NL went several times up, Annan from EOSL more than doubled, Edinburgh City from LL trebled, early days but Cove from HL quadrupled.

Not hugely surprising that they've increased. We probably took more to all four than their previous average home crowd. A better indicator will be teams with a decent pre-SPFL following.
HibeeJibee
Well they had crowds in the 100s or 200s. If someone like Kelty or Bonnyrigg in the 300s or 400s go up they mightn't multiply by those sort of degrees, but I'd be astonished if they dropped.

Burnie_man
So around 1,000 "locals", great stuff. Good turnout at Bonnyrigg today as well against a team with no support.
HibeeJibee
It's a shame Linlithgow v Bo'ness and 'Shire v Kelty were kyboshed... However a bumper cup crowd at Kelty and likely a good turnout at Jeanfield (not seen). Crowds over 500 at Bonnyrigg v BSCG (top clash) and 400 at Tranent v Musseburgh, almost 300 at Crossgates v HoB, over 200 at Blackburn v Broxburn, almost 200 at Whitehill v Nitten etc. do validate the derby policy. Vale v Edusport modest 57. Edited September 7, 2019 by HibeeJibee

shawfieldman
Can someone explain to me how some of these Lowland League teams survive? As a Clyde fan I am particularly interested in Cumbernauld Colts who drew 82 fans to a recent game v East Kilbride.Surely this is unsustainable?
