Phenomenal golf from Lowry. His play from 100 yards in has been streets ahead of the rest, both in variety and execution.

The adverse weather conditions forecast tomorrow suit the leaders and unless Fleetwood shoots the lights out, a level par round will probably be enough for Lowry.

Only downside for me is I never took the dual forecast.

A great Lowry round has ruined my sunday!! Thought we were gonna have a brilliant final day with guys trading places but doesn’t look like it now

All it takes is for Lowry to bogey the first and Fleetwood to birdie it, and we have game on. Lowry has all night and day to actually think about where he is. I hope the bloke wins it now, but being out in the lead on your own (on Irish soil too) could do funny things to the space between his ears. Everyone now, bar Lowry, will have the attitude ‘nothing to lose, go for it’, while Lowry might clart his nappy. Interesting day ahead!

If the weather forecasts for tomorrow are accurate, any early starters posting low scores by around 1 - 2pm, could find themselves well in contention.

The leaders are likely to struggle in the heavy rain and high winds forecast from mid to late afternoon, which could even things up a bit.

This has been a great event and is by no means over yet.

Even given the weather forecast, unless Lowry implodes completely only Fleetwood can catch him.

Nothing against Lowry personally, but I really hope someone else wins.

He went into the final round of the US Open in 2016 with a 4 shot lead, but lost to Dustin Johnson by 3 shots.

I had completely forgotten about that. He seems to be feeding off the galleries this week. Maybe that will make a difference.
It will definitely make for a better spectacle if he loses some ground over the first half dozen holes or so though.

Lovely morning here, but as you say the forecast is not great for the north coast later on.
