It doesn't matter though. It was their first FA cup since 1939. Regardless whether they were spending more than they had is irrelevant, it's exciting to see a team win something after so long. When Man City won it after they were taken over that was good to see. However the novelty quickly wears off when a team keeps winning it.

The same could be said about most teams that do well. Wigan are a jumped up Northern Premier League club burning through Dave Whelan's money. The romance element tends to go when the last non-league team goes out and maybe continues when the likes of Chesterfield get as far as the semi-final.

Arsenal were very good in that first half. Really not letting City get into any sort of rhythm and bringing the game to them. Tierney playing very well also.
