So mystic monkey your hatred or jealousy of the Glasgow clubs is why you wish them ill will in Europe?

No jealousy.

If I wanted to support an OF side, I simply would.  I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need to negotiate an entrance exam.

Monkey Tennis doesn't want good players brought into the league, doesn't want clubs to get extra money and thinks Falkirk fans will be "bored" this season as they'll win most weeks.

The term "pub bore" has never been more appropriate.

Having a different take on something from the majority is boring?

I'd have thought it was more interesting than just going along with a received line, but whatever.

Keep agreeing with each other in that fascinating fashion that really makes boards like this so stimulating.

Monologue is pretty much all any of us can offer on a message board such as this.  Sometimes, people reply to each other and we get discussion.

(I'm aware that I'm boring you now by the way.  I'm totally fine with that).

I'm far far more interested in our game being more egalitarian.

Hey, if you think you're being unfairly labeled as being as exciting as Mogadon I can bail you out.

If you want our game to be more egalitarian does that mean you want all Scottish teams to do well or to do badly in Europe?  Do you even want Scottish teams competing in Europe since that is anti-egalitarian?

It does seem something of a strange statement to make.

It's not remotely strange.

I don't want our game to necessarily be more egalitarian in terms of how teams perform in Europe - that's always been for a select few.   I do however, want our domestic game to be much more egalitarian than it is.  European, particularly CL involvement for our already biggest clubs, moves us much farther away from that.

It's quite simple.

Is it the same two or, in an egalitarian manner, do you rotate which two you want to fail?

The same two at all times.

Anyone interested in a greater degree of egalitarianism in our game would feel similarly.

Stop attempting to depict my outlook as inconsistent or wacky.  It's neither.

Your hatred for the Glasgow two doesn't allow egalitarianism in our game does it monkey?
I find it very hard to hate a club that is only 7 years old.

MT you should avoid competitive sports, especially professional football. For the sake of your sanity.

It's not competitive sport. It's sport driven by commercialism rather than by competition.

Did you know that revenue from merchandise is split equally among NFL clubs? If you buy a Cowboys jersey in LA, the money is split evenly among all 32 clubs. The only money NFL clubs raise and keep for themselves is matchday revenue and corporate sponsorship. Everything else - TV, merchandise and licensing - is split equally regardless of performance, number of viewers in Texas, number of shirts sold.

Imagine the profit from every sellick tap was split 12 ways, or 42 ways equally across Scotland. Imagine UEFA's 2.73 billion Euros from the TV rights for club competitions was split equally among participants.

The way things are isn't the way they have to be. More people watch sport when it's competitive than when it's predictable, and Scottish football has been locked in a death-grip for half a lifetime. Your assumption that "this is how sport is, if you don't like it piss off" is really naive.

A 32 team closed shop spread across a continent 🤔

What if your not one of the chosen 32 teams? Small town team wanting to climb into this nirvana of fairness and opportunity?
