I think Gilmour would be older than Tierney but younger than the rest. Knock it up to 19 and you can add on... I don’t know if there’s more to that article, but from the bit you’ve quoted you’re making a fucking huge jump there considering it doesn’t mention confidence or his mental state at all. It’s only saying people’s expectations are too high because he came from Real Madrid. Fratelli Posted March 10, 2020 Share Posted March 10, 2020 (edited) There are similarities with the Odegaard scenario, however there's a fair bit of difference between Odegaard, who made his debut at 15 and was world famous at 16, than Gilmour who's 19 in a couple of months. Don't think many 15 year olds would handle the pressures of International football combined with a move to Real Madrid very well. Basically if Gilmour does get into the Scotland senior squad, barring a ridiculous amount of injuries he'll likely be brought in just to train and won't be involved in the game/s. Everything is being looked at as 'what's best for Billy's development?'
