Can Kilmallie avoid relegation in the sport of genuine local interest?

At least Fort William will be returning to the top league again 👍

Between Kilmallie and Lochaber (Spean Bridge) for the drop, love a bit of shinty ❤️

Glenrothes have pulled out of the friendly this weekend due to injuries, so Fort's next game is away to Rosyth on the 20th. It's a charity game to raise suicide awareness (not sure if it's a specific charity), so it'll be good to see a decent crowd there.

Unless Inveraray relegate them both, taking a terrible revenge on Lochaber for the defeat at Inverlochy in 1645.

6-0 win over Rosyth yesterday on Saturday, with over £300 raised for Andy's Man Club. Next match away to Brora in the HL on Saturday 27th.

Confirmed just now. These guys were superb last season in the youth league so will be interesting to see how they fair against adults. Skill wise they'll be better than the vast majority of who they're up against, but the physicality will be a huge test for them.

I guess maybe Brora might know what to expect in a way, as those players that signed played in the recent friendly with Caley Thistle. Should make Saturday a lot tougher, that’s for sure! Can’t see Fort William being the whipping boys again this season.

A few years ago there was a plan to fly over a load of Yank College players and make a reality TV show of them competing for Fort in the HL. Nothing came of it. This sounds like a downmarket version of the same idea, with the media interest restricted to a couple of lines in the P+J.

This is a bit mad I have to say. The Highland League don't let Inverness colts in so they just loan almost a team of players to Fort William. I thought there was a limit to the amount of players that a side could accept on loan

From the HL website,

http://www.highlandfootballleague.com/History/Item/SHFLConstitutionRules2018-19.pdf

Last seasons constitution and not a single mention that I can see of the amount of "temporary transfers" that a club is allowed to have.
