Season ticket sales...

Recommended Posts

I think, given that Raith have tried it a few times, the hockey season ticket model might be a good’un. You offer a season ticket with a good discount, a half season ticket (choose first half or second half), a premium half season (choose nine games), and a monthly buy (1, 2 or 3 games).

As an idea, take Raith (Falkirk have three levels, makes it too confusing), charging £16 PATG:

Season at £225, saving 22%, £12.50 a game (currently charge £250/13%/£13.89)

Half Season (choose first nine home or last nine home) at £120, 17%, £13.34 per

Premium Half Season (choose nine games) at £130, 10%, £14.44 per

Three game month (Mar ‘20) at £43.50, 9%, £14.50 per

Two game month (Aug, Oct, Nov, Dec ‘19 and Jan, Feb, Apr ‘20) at £30, 6%, £15 per

One game month (Sep ‘19) at £16, no savings.

Now, with almost 1,000 ST sold, that’s a loss of revenue of £25.000...but you have to believe that you could make it up and then some with the smaller package sales. Sell 100 Premium Half Season tickets and that’s another $13,000. Will some ST holders downsize, sure...but you can bet some on the fence will jump back in for a half season or a month or two. Would there be a cost to print the more specific tickets, perhaps a bit, but again, I bet you make it up.

Some good ideas there, different models of s/t would suit shift workers or offshore workers much better than the standard deal. It's been hard work having Rovers accept that s/t should offer clear value for money ( & actually advertise the fact). It would make life more complicated for a small office staff  but might well attract more business.
