HibeeJibee
Edinburgh City won the 2017-18 edition of the East of Scotland Cup today, by defeating East Kilbride 5-2 in the final at Heriot-Watt University. SPFL2 side City also host Camelon in the semi-final of last season's competition, in the autumn: winner plays Berwick Rangers or Spartans. Due to Berwick's relegation City qualify directly to the Final of this season's competition, in the spring. So they are 3 ties from winning the same competition 3 times in 1 season. Would this be unprecedented?
Victor von Doom
Someone else may have achieved such a feat, somewhere in North Britain, at some time, but this question sort of translates as, "Are the football authorities anywhere else quite as incompetent as those in Scotland?" and the answer to that is "No!" - so the treble is unlikely to have been replicated outwith Scotland... unless the competition is run on NZRFU Ranfurly Shield lines. I hope this helps.
