Walking down the Beechwood Road

The west must think having the sectional league cup knockout games are more important than helping their champions, which means Talbot's opening fixtures from 27th July are as follows: Sat-Mon-Wed-Sat-Wed-Sat^-Mon-Wed*-Sat^-Wed-Sat-Wed*-Sat^

*Assuming they win the previous league cup game

^Scottish Cup

So that's 12 games in 33 days - probably the best time for Camelon to play them.

Seem sure that it’s talbot going there to play Camelon [emoji848]

The fixture pileups might catch up eventually. I actually thought you guys were going to struggle badly last season but fortunately the winter was very mild and there were hardly any postponements. So although you were still playing league fixtures when other clubs were returning for pre-season it could have been a lot worse. All it takes is a bad month of rain or frost to add another 4 or 5 matches. Best thing you could do is field an under 16s team in the Scottish and concentrate on the league [emoji1]

I remember about 10 years ago Meadow winning the league. On merit they probably deserved to win it but Talbot and a few others had a horrendous backlog of games to play and ultimately it was too much for all to catch up

The juniors let coltness change their name to new mains community.

Coltness went out the game. Newmains are from the town of Newmains. Should have called themselves the Newmains Bronco's then would have went straight into the LL.

Edusport (as they were then) never got direct entry to the LL. They joined the South Of Scotland which they won thus got promoted to LL.

Bluebell are gonna teach us how to play on Saturday apparently..

To be fair, they didn't do a bad job last weekend. Some canny players and they knocked the ball about well on the deck most of the time.
