I'll opt for a McEwans 80/- if it's ever on tap. The fact it doesn't cost over £5 or have a trendy name does not discourage me.

I'll also occasionally opt for "a nip and a half", doing my bit to keep an age old tradition alive.

I agree wuth you but dispute your "nip and a half". Its a "half and a half" in grandad speak.

Not in the north east it's not.

No offence Sarge, but I fucking hate you. What a gig that would have been to attend.

It was, I even seen the support hands on those early gig attending days. I counted the other night. I started with The Stranglers in May and went to 8 others that year.

Not sure if house proud is the correct word really but in recent times I have become much more anal about tidiness etc and more keen to re decorate, sort the garden etc etc. Markedly different from how I used to be... Is this a getting older thing?

Not in my case, I think it's more of a breeding, nest building thing.

For your actions, I am performing opposite and equal reactions. Equilibrium.

My current obsession with the garden and learning how to do gardening is certainly for their benefit...

Gardening is good for the soul.

I'm cutting the grass once a week just now, I managed to get a checkerboard pattern on it the other day, much to my cunto neighbours' annoyance.

f**k. That made me realise it's nearly 40 years since I saw Blondie there. I went the night before Hogmanay and the next night the BBC were there. I didn't know it was live and kept looking for myself in the crowd.
