The fact it doesn't cost over £5 or have a trendy name does not discourage me. I'll also occasionally opt for "a nip and a half", doing my bit to keep an age old tradition alive. I agree wuth you but dispute your "nip and a half". Its a "half and a half" in grandad speak.

placidcasual
Still love a Rum and Pep. Seems cordial is definitely a Grandad beverage and difficult to procure, in particular peppermint.Love a black rum and pep but aye, it's hard to find the cordial.

What a gig that would have been to attend. It was, I even seen the support hands on those early gig attending days. I counted the other night. I started with The Stranglers in May and went to 8 others that year. Edited July 4, 2019 by Sergeant Wilson
Bairnardo
Not sure if house proud is the correct word really but in recent times I have become much more anal about tidiness etc and more keen to re decorate, sort the garden etc etc. Markedly different from how I used to be... Is this a getting older thing?

Gardening is good for the soul. I'm cutting the grass once a week just now, I managed to get a checkerboard pattern on it the other day, much to my cunto neighbours' annoyance.

That made me realise it's nearly 40 years since I saw Blondie there. I went the night before Hogmanay and the next night the BBC were there. I didn't know it was live and kept looking for myself in the crowd.
