So when do teams start recruiting for next year?

is it a case of players just go to whoever has the money? Largs in the past have usually took players from Greenock and Port Glasgow as none of them boys at the two clubs get paid at all. Surprising as both teams have some great players.

We have re-signed a few but no new signings been announced at Lanark. Tough with so little funding around.

Shame for port and nock anytime through the years they have put together half decent teams north ayrshire clubs seem to raid them for players.

When the prem clubs come calling I think they would be foolish to turn it down

There are no Junior clubs in the West of Scotland - not sure why you find that difficult to understand.

Finding it difficult to let go of the 'junior' tag, like losing a relative. Maybe the new West U20 teams will give all clubs a chance to build up without throwing the money around. Hopefully once the dominant teams win the lge and move up the pyramid, then maybe the divisions will look a bit more even, giving everyone a chance to shine.

There are plenty who are members of the SJFA so technically they are Junior clubs.

By that token both St Mirren and Morton are actually Renfrewshire FA rather than SPFL clubs - they were members of one before the were members of the other and both of them still enter the one competition the Renfrewshire FA run.

Defining your identity by a single competition that most teams will play no more than one or two games in a season in is a bit of a stretch, but whatever makes folk happy I guess.

I’m not arsed either way tbh pal. Just said it to counter those who are determined to jump on anything which has the word Junior attached.

Even worse that people want to erase all memory of the past in a petty way

The process of change doesn't need to erase or invalidate history.

The past should be remembered, honoured and celebrated - but there's a distinction to be made between doing that and continuing to live in it.

Our experience shows that the majority of us revel in nostalgia so I do not see this happening. Fast forward to a year plus from now and there will be lots of posts about "remember when...", just like there are on FB with people recalling their school days and their former employers.
