Don't know why they're bothering tbh. Doubts over a TV deal, coaches and players whose contracts were up on 1 June have fucked off, no crowds, unclear when Wellington will be allowed back into the country. Even by their own low standards, the FFA have ballsed this whole thing up.
Eednud
NPL restarting in ACT, NSW, Queensland, SA & Tasmania today. ETA: My mistake it was a catch up game in SA and no NPL games anywhere else. Think it starts up in most places next weekend.

Eednud
A-League back in action tonight with the Final due on 30 August. VAR suspended for the rest of the season. Apart from Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United on the Gold Coast this Sunday all the other games will be played in Sydney, Gosford and Newcastle. Venues for the Finals series haven’t been decided yet. Tonight it’s Sydney v Wellington Phoenix, tomorrow Perth Glory the home side v Central Coast Mariner away on their own ground with the Brisbane game on Sunday. The 3 Victorian sides are still in quarantine as the FFA and weather fucked up their escape from Danland.

Risky move, putting Victorians in quarantine.

GNU_Linux
Want to buy a football team? https://www.ccmariners.com.au/news/mike-charlesworth-statement-future-marinersBiggest worry here is re-location isn't seen as being a dealbreaker so there's sadly a chance the Mariners could be dead or an existing club could buy the licence again killing the club.In other news Simon Hill has left Fox to do European football for Optus.

Jacksgranda
Yes, I'd need to get back into this, I've been neglecting my antipodean team. I blame lockdown...
