Nobody is against the West joining, only if it is linked to the ERJFA joining as well.

Re the U20's, quite a few ex-ERJFA clubs joined the LL U20 League the same season they joined the EoS.

Regarding the u20s joining from the East yes I know about that but it will have to be similar to youth football as in regionalised so the West would probably be an U20 league on their own, mainly due to finances and travelling as the games will be midweek and not on a Saturday. So possible a whole new league would have to start, Clydebank for example could join the existing U20 league next season as they have it organised and have money in place to help, as will so a few other junior teams with vision but the rest couldn't adopt, start and join the existing u20s league due to no organisation, no desire, no money etc...

I'm talking about teams like Kilsyth Rangers, the current committee have not desire to involve youth and only recently Kilsyth Athletic U19s folded as the didn't have enough lads turning up this year but there would have been a few not desired enough due to no pathway even thought there is youth teams in the area would love a pathway relationship with Kilsyth

And it’s that short sightedness I fear. Junior clubs have a great opportunity to fill the gap and get many Local players involved at a decent level. The gap filled due to so many pro youth teams cutting back and the new project brave which is focused on the elite.

no reason a west u20 couldn’t be setup in time for next year. We could have a lowland challenge cup between east, west and south which would be great.

most of the top prem league have a grassroots 19s and/or 21s. We’ve seen already 19s teams merge with 21s due to lack of players. Too many clubs not enough players at this age - all in the one setup instead of different leagues and ages.

The Lowland U20 Development League isn't regionalised. The two Conferences are seeded to try and provide equal competition in both.  So far this season we have been in Glasgow for a League game, and down to Kilmarnock for a Cup game, and we're over in Fife on Friday for a league game, for the second time and will be over again (and in Glasgow).  In the other Conference, you have clubs from East Lothian, Edinburgh, Fife, Lockerbie, Kilmarnock and Glasgow.

So if the West join, and some clubs join in the LL U20, there's no guarantee it will be regionalised.

I’m aware, although the west coming in that would make sense? Think the clubs would appreciate it also. Bsc bonnyton and colts in particular.

Yes we are in agreement about this but you ,ay get right now 5 or 6 teams with a development squad straight away but the rest will have to organise it, and they will only put so much money into it thus that's why the west would stay regionalised with the knowledge that a few can enter the u20 development LL league and stay afloat.

I would think it would have to become regionalised. The cups can still create inter-league play. It's part-timers playing Friday night football we're talking about.

Here's what the current Lowlands U20s conferences look like on a map - and with the addition of some West U21s who could join (mostly based on suitable grounds - Port Glasgow could be used by Greenock, Kilwinning I assume have a floodlight pitch at KSC, Rob Roy don't have theirs yet, Largs could join later with floodlights). Suppose New Tinto Park could be used every week.

That's all fine but these parks are used every week.

Pollok Academy have about 80 youth teams who train on their parks~Dennis Donnelly park / Janie lavery parks and nethercraigs, cant use Newlandsfield
Clydeank Academy have 50 and holm park is used as well as other parks, (Donald Dewar)  but Clydebank are organised so can easily use holm park but if Yoker add a U20s then it will create problems
Rossvale Academy have 50 odd teams using Huntershill & Milton and the lets are hard to come by. Rossvale Over 35s wanted the let for their Friday night league but space is being kepts back for the U19s as next year there will be two U19s.

Its not just a case of , yeah lets play on a Friday, these youth academies and parks are being used all week so a lot of organisation has to be done, some already sorted like clydebank, others will find it hard.  Definitely regionalized will have to happen.

in saying that, this is a clydebank juniors post so the youth team is related and Clydebank are one of the teams who are sorted in the youth development and should be able to quite easily join the LL league due to their organization and readiness

Abysmal finishing cost Bankies dearly today- some unbelievable chances missed
We are in real danger of getting dragged into a relegation battle - and our record this season against the teams below us is dreadful
Worrying times

Yep totally agree. We created enough chances to win game comfortably but cant finish and credit to Glens as they defended well and looked dangerous on the break. Every game almost we give away a goal of a start and today's gift was very poor. Still a cpl of wins from safety and its hard to see where they're coming from again

Dire stuff, pub football from both teams on a quagmire.

Goal from free kick was embarrassing from waters. Straight at him, no pace on the ball and he is flapping about and it goes straight through him. If he had stood still he could have caught it with two hands. Any half decent keeper it was a standard save. Be as well giving the opposition two goals head start every game.

Both wingers were poor, neither could put in a decent ball and just continually pumping it up to little to win the air was pointless. The midfielder who came on looked decent, less said about that big striker the better. We need points sharpish or we are going to be sitting idle while others are over taking us.
