Ref had nothing to do with the defeat today. We only have ourselves to blame awful.

You’re right the ref wasn’t the reason. But he had a shocker

Dire stuff, petershill keeper looked about 7 stone and pulled off a great stop once but thought we should have tested him more especially from corners. Big centre forward having to play centre back for them and still couldn't create much. Shelvey should have scored but we got what we deserved.

Maybe in seasons gone past i would be more bothered going out early but It's just a glorified West of Scotland cup now days. You know what region the winner is coming from since all the best teams in the east left.

I would say that’s right. He didn’t have any impact on the scoreline but he was shitey mcshite. We got what we deserved though cos we were as shite as he was! Peasy did a job on us, good luck to them in the next round.

Tayport, twice. Bathgate. Sure Musselburgh made a  final. Linlithgow, Kelty.

Look at teams who have moved away. Broxburn and Penicuick yesterday getting great results in the actual Scottish cup. And these two were hardly massive names at junior level. Look what happens when you better yourself.

Didn't say it was less competitive, but the prestige has been taken from the tournament last few seasons. Anyone can see that.

The small pond is getting smaller.

Winning the cup is big news for any club. You're not kidding anyone. Also, you'd get to meet up with some of your old pals in the big Scottish!

How many east teams have won the junior scottish in the last ten or twenty years?

If there are no clubs from the east challenging (Lochee United have been to an extent recently, but that's about it) how is the tournament any more prestigious to win than the West of Scotland cup? It's a hollowed out shell compared to what it used to be.

....with a potentially lucrative bonus.

Kelty have never won the Junior Cup. They shit it every time they played a reasonable West team
