Chelsea top seeds and Ajax needing to go through qualifying is bullshit

Not really, The Netherlands are ranked 14th for this season so their champions must go through qualifying (don't think any country in 14th has ever gone straight to the group stage). And now the EL winners also go into pot 1.

Why are Zenit top seeds?

Champions of the top 6 countries are automatically in pot 1 (plus CL/EL holders or 7th/8th ranked countries).

Nevermind I was looking at 2017-18 at the time. Still a new thing that EL holders are a top seed with this only being the 2nd season of it.

Near as I can see this is the first time that EL holders have been a top seed. Even with the new format of Top 4 leagues 4 automatic placings, Manchester United were in Pot 2 this year.

Ok you're right that the EL holder hasn't always been in pot 1, it was only introduced for Athletico in 18-19 (Man Utd won the EL in 16-17 :)).

I think we will see the Kosovar teams doing OK in the qualifying rounds this year.  The improved last year over their first year in European competition so I would't be surprised if Feronikeli win this prelim tournament, although Lincoln Red Imps can be a tricky team

Didn't realise just how good a season Kosovo clubs had, ranked 32nd with 2.500 coefficient points thanks to three wins and four draws - even a couple of draws this season would put them close to getting to 51st and avoiding the preliminary round in 2021/22. Northern Ireland look to be the most likely to drop into the bottom four.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the Welsh league that gets bumped down into the preliminary round when that happens. Every year they seem to get closer to that bubble while the current 51st ranked association (Faroes) keep getting more points

Wales have actually climbed up to 48th and will start this season in 46th with a poor score from five years ago dropping off. The New Saints are seeded in QR1 so could pick up points there. The Faroes and NIR drop off their best score from the past ten years so will need to do well to keep their points total.

Northern Ireland already dropped in the bottom 4. Next season, their champions will have to start in the preliminary round.

I’m pretty sure Gibraltar have jumped out of the preliminary round for next season. It will be Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Andorra and San Marino I think.

Correct

why I don't watch this shite

You don't watch it because the champions of a country ranked 14th need to go through qualifying? Despite the fact that the 14th ranked country has never qualified directly to the group stage before.
