With Tierney injured, I'd have Targett as Robertson's back-up. He's much better than Greg Taylor.

Douglas, Tierney, Taylor and Robertson is a good selection for a position you only need one for.
I haven't seen Targett since he broke through as a left-back, but if he is playing as a LM then that's where he should be considered for Scotland. Fraser's excellent, but he's certainly been far from reliable for Scotland, and our other options there are very meh.

For me, Targett has already had more than enough chances to turn out for Scotland and he’s refused (he admits he doesn’t want it) so bollocks to him.
