How will it be more money?

It's just the money they should have received when cashflow resumes.

Deferring wages helps with immediate cash flow but when they have to be paid will all the income originally forecast to cover it be there or is it lost?

The point I was trying to make was the income from the postponed games is gone and very unlikely to be got back now thus deferring the players wages just causes a greater debt next season.

Which former Cowdenbeath loanee has played at least 1 minute as a teammate with the following players:
John McGinn
Aaron Mooy
Ryan Gauld
George Boyd

I have a name but I can only find a link with three of the players. I will keep it to myself to see if anyone gets it. It’s a good one though.

Copied from Cowden Facebook page.

COWDENBEATH FC - CORONAVIRUS (2)

There will be a meeting of Board members tomorrow at Central Park which will seek to further firm up the club’s revised budgets and cashflow forecast for the next few months based on currently available information and markedly revised expectations.

Operational matters of course will also be high on the agenda. Much remains fluid at this time. SFA advice has highlighted that players should not train as a group while the club has been advised that its group booking for training facilities at Oriam on Tuesdays and Thursdays has been suspended until further notice. The Joint Response Group set up by the SPFL/SFA is keeping us advised of key developments on a daily basis – including Government/Scottish Government and UEFA advice and responses. There is also an L2 Divisional Meeting by teleconference tomorrow. Today’s announcement from the SFA that cash from Club Licensing award payments due in December 2020 will be paid now was welcome.

Your club will indeed need your help to deal with this unprecedented challenge and in the coming days we will try to set out further ways and means as to how this can be done. We would also welcome any ideas or proposed initiatives which you feel could assist.

Read on another thread an idea that fans could donate their entry fee to the club for days when there would have been home games.

Not an answer to the problem but this would surely help. Any appetite for this?

It's a good idea, but there will be lots of fans in danger of losing their job and more now because of the Govt advice. I know people who this afternoon were told to go home and not to return to work and they are not getting paid. Businessess are now starting to close. Some small clubs will fold if the shutdown lasts longer than 3 or 4 weeks.

Jason Naismith?

Correct:

John McGinn - played 60 times together

Aaron Mooy - played 8 minutes with him for St Mirren v Hibs

Ryan Gauld - played 16 minutes with him for the Scottish U21 against their Swiss counterparts

George Boyd - played 70 minutes with him for Peterborough against Oxford

I definitely don't mind doing that, hope others could also, will do it tonight by donation.

The opportunity is now there.

Taken from announcement on OS yesterday, the club is using the #Club135 portal for people to donate as is attending a game.  If anyone wants to take part  click here

  • In the donators box put the name of the person joining through the "virtual turnstile" and beside that the opposition club name for that match.
  • Add the amount £13 for an adult £7 for a child. You can add more if you wish.
  • Club then aims to publish the "virtual Crowd" figure for the game.
  • Message the fans to thank for attending.
  • Those attending all the remaining hime games to receive an exclusive not for sale commemorative badge for doing so.

Some fantastic generous donations already made really appreciated. Nice also to see Sir David show his true colours😄

Thanks for your support please spread the word and stay safe
