Saw on the rose Facebook that season tickets go on sale on Thursday - £84 for an adult. Never had one before - probably would have got one anyway this season as last year I was getting to more and more games than I used to but even if we can't get in at first it's a financial support to the club isn't it.

Thats very much a bargain for a minimum 17 games 👏 £105 / £75 at ww.

Buying a season ticket has never been more important to clubs, than now.

Without supporters, clubs income is almost nil. Yet they are still incurring expense.

At £84 it works out less than 2 quid a week. A small price to help your club.

Hopefully they did. Looked like a guy with a camera in the photos the shire took

Fingers crossed - as would be good to see who played etc.

Shire match report includes Linlithgow Rose teamlines

I, more or less, just said the exact same thing on the Edinburgh City thread at the same time as you!

Absolute disgrace that East Stirling and Falkirk played each other behind closed doors whilst a funfair operates freely in the car park at the stadium. There can't be many other businesses where the customer is exclusively outdoors and they've been prevented from trading for 6 months.

We can bowl with a 'bubble' of 30.

There are no restrictions on spectators other than social distancing. So in theory could have quite a crowd watching.

The rules aren't joined up or consistent. There has been little thought on impact that one rule has on another.

I assume some of the concerns will also include the arrangements for players and officials. Assuming the leagues are due to start in a few weeks I would have thought there were plans or at least discussions on how things will work.

I can kind of see a few reasons why people may be cautious about fans at football at this level.

People shouting/celebrating.

Lack of stewards at low level games to enforce/provide guidance on rules.

How do you prevent bottlenecks as people enter/leave.

The risk that if non league opens up while the pro teams are BHD it might lead to inflated crowds as people go to whatever level they can.

All can be mitigated imo but they do exist. That said it's hard not to draw the conclusion that some in power see football as an easy target. See the reaction to Bolingoli/the Aberdeen players.

Got to agree that at our level even more than others playing without fans seems likely to feel pretty pointless... The decision to start the season in October was taken when it looked like we might have fans in by now. Given that's clearly not going to happen particularly as it's looking like new restrictions are going to be applied, you have to wonder how long clubs can survive without matchday income.

As said before. Home fans only until things improve. Easier for clubs to steward. And it's not as if you could hire a bus for away games anyway.

A funfair which was full of impeccably behaved children, but dozens of selfish, carefree, scheme-goblin maws making zero effort to social distance and using it as a place to socialise. At least some of them made the effort to wear a mask on their chins though.

Aye, but nae going to the football! 🤦🏻‍♂️

This level of football would provide the ideal opportunity to test a return.

But clearly not enough noise being made to influence.

Unfortunately the bigger picture suggests we are heading further away not nearer a return.

Would be best if lots of people call their SNP MSP and say, "ah've aye voted SNP* but see if ah dinnae get tae watch the fitba again soon..." Problem is the people that do call them tend to be complete cranks, so they don't get to hear what the silent majority are wanting on issues like this.

* - this part doesn't need to necessarily be true.

Spot on. Time to start spamming our MSPs Twitter feeds?

We're about to have more restrictions, so asking for loosening of restrictions for an immensely enjoyable but ultimately trivial activity like spectating at small sports events is probably a waste of time right now.
I agree in part with this.

However for me, the first lockdown showed the importance of having a reward for people.

Sports provided that for many and the return of football (sport) on TV was massive for me.

At Prestonfield of Dreams I stand with the same people every week and probably further apart than when we are back at the bowling club.

Both environments are controlled and I actually feel safer than at Sainsbury's where people think a mask allows them to break social distancing as they push in.
