TC, Thom and Hare signed another years contract.

So now 13 signed players for the restart in 2026-27.

Surely you think football will start before 2026-27? Will TC not be about to claim his pension by then?

Nice.

Armadale game is the same night as the Euro 2020 R16 game at Hampden which, theoretically, could feature Scotland.

Definitely, that's the big advantage on having your own ground and ability to give back to local and surrounding communities.

Thats a cracker of a signing for yous. I'm sure he was offered a new contract with us. I'm surprised he has dropped down two divisions, he was more than comfortable at higher end league two level and I got feeling we hadnt seen best of him yet. A player all binos fans would have happily kept I'm sure.

What's your squad like this year. I've felt for a while the rose need to get decent centre halfs and never seem to sign any always side midfielders and attackers.

Absolutely no idea.

Until we see them play and how they gel as a team, we head into the unknown.

Watching them on Facebook during lockdown made it difficult to judge. The results were mixed and hardly filled you with confidence.

BF has been given backing despite a very ordinary record since his arrival. So really needs to hit the ground running.

Hopefully having supporters back will also be a boost.

First real game in 15 months, it was good to be back.

The ref spoiled the game by blowing his whistle for kick off..!!

Whitburn scored after 2 minutes, our new keepers 1st touch an error.

Davidson at LB looks a decent acquisition. Wasn't sure of Brownlie or RB last season and still not convinced.

The game was over by half time with 2 goals from Thom and 1 from Rooster.

Overall a good start for the Rose and first game for months.

Onwards and upwards

Whitburn 1 Linlithgow 3

Typical scrappy pre-season game with a good few trialists and new players. Some flashes of quality and I thought the number 14 played well.

Great to be back at the football, looking forward to getting back to Prestonfield!

Was it not Cammy Thomson at LB?
