Linlithgow Rose - 2019 onwards

Recommended Posts

Well not really. I'm not about to fire out figures which are confidential in an AGM on here but it doesn't take a genius for anyone at any club to do a simple divide by 40 weeks and 20 players to work out an average - fair enough with assumptions on that.

So basically what this has confirmed is no one has an idea about who pays what [emoji1]

To be honest, the running budget is no one else's business barring the clubs management and committee.

I dont like this sharing of information society we live in. The rose will have supplied the manager a budget they think is good enough to make them competitive enough to access the LL and at least, draw dependant, the first two rounds of the Senior Scottish.

What everyone has to understand is that not every player will be paid the same. Strikers generally cost more than defenders. Some players will be paid wages, some expenses. Every player negotiates their own deal and it isn't as simple as dividing a random number by 20 players.

What you also have to factor in is the Linlithgow tax players may apply to their negotiations. For example, if a player wanted to get £xx a week for football, if Linlithgow came calling most will be asking for that plus an extra £25 just because it was Linlithgow.

If twenty players are on a fiver week less. That's saving 100 a week. 400 s year

Dividing it by 20 gives you an average yes some would be above and some below.

They are given a budget but it you are bringing in ex seniors like they are. They wont come cheap.

Who ever comes in though will have the same players I'm not sure what their committee think is going to be a whole lot different with a different manager

Some seasoned juniors are on more that some seniors. Not sure why everyone is obsessed about money and who pays what.

All walks of life companies run to a budget and people agree to contracts they are happy with.

As long as the income covers the costs then there isn’t an issue

True but surely as a supporter you want your investment to pay off. The committee obviously not happy with the way they are playing or they wouldnt make the change they've made

I know what you are saying Alan, however as pointed out certain non league players earn far in excess of what a player in L2 earns on a weekly basis. It's all relevant really. If Linlithgow can cover what they spend, who cares what it is they spend?

On your point of a new manager, again that's a committee decision. If they feel a change is warranted they will make it. Rightly or wrongly. It happens at every club in the country, non league, professional, amateur and Premier league.

To be fair , the committee were trying to interfere with the running of the team as well as training schedules etc. Also despite there supposedly being a big budget for players the management had hhehaw provided to them... Q when was the last time they paid a transfer fee for a player... Also at next AGM ask how much the Small rain shelter cost ?

Very few teams pay transfer fees at this level - it's mainly out of contract.

The disabled viewing shelter was provided between capital and grants as part of our licence requirements. Such a provision doesn't impact playing resources.

Can't answer about alleged interference on training schedules. But clearly you have given some suggestion - personally I think your information is wrong - both Bradley and Ronald wouldn't have allowed it.

As for nothing provided - maybe the training and matchday kits were only for the photos...!!!

Would be interested to hear what wasn't provided according to your information.
