Lesser Is More
I'm surprised by this appointment. I thought the job would go to someone based locally.Part time clubs tent to factor this in when employing a new manager.

We may be glad of that. I don't feel excited by this appointment. I hope I am wrong and wish him well. Will give him full support from the stand on Saturday.

CaspianChris
The Lowland League will be welcoming Queens Park as new member club within the next couple of seasons. Ray McKinnon is an abysmal manager and relegation will be his legacy.
Bring Your Own Socks
What’s his win ratio against Stenhousemuir?
spider1867
Good Luck to our new manager. Let's see what he brings. He needs to rebuild his reputation. Don't think he will jump ship so quickly after the Falkirk debacle. Will be interesting to see if we sign players in January. Are we paying our players from January?

TBF, of all the clubs he's managed he only 'jumped ship' twice, from Raith Rovers and Morton, the former in an underhand manner, the latter was played out overtly.
PASSANDMOVE
Welcome Ray , need to start well , given the situation. I can guarantee you'll get more support from the stands and committee than at any other club. If your going to make it as a manager this is a great opportunity for you.

The only way he'll be jumping to any other club is if he's a success at Queen's Park. In which case, fair enough, it'll have been mutually beneficial. If he fails, he's done. That means he'll be hungry.
gm_1982
What’s his win ratio against Stenhousemuir? One of his first games in charge of Brechin we beat Stenny 7-2 at the Glebe. Some of the football we played under him at the start was outstanding. Think we went about 17 games unbeaten under him at that point but he had some excellent attacking players in Bobby Barr, Alan Trouten, Robert Thomson, Andy Jackson. We did have our struggles under him too though and we weren’t far off relegation playoffs one season.

Bring Your Own Socks
When he was first appointed Ayr fans came on here and told us what to expect and they weren't wrong. If that’s the measurement tool we’re neck high according to the tweets on the club Twitter feed.
an86
Not at all bothered about what fans of other teams say. Any manager coming down from a full time level will have had a bad spell or they wouldn't be being appointed Queen's Park manager. Stark and MacPherson were going to be horrendous for us according to fans of their previous clubs. They didn't work out too badly.
