Cold Feet
Appreciate there is a lot of change happening behind the scenes (as voted through on Monday). However wondered if we are getting any nearer to having on field issues settled?

With only 5 weeks away from the season starting again i would like to think a new management team would be put into place by the end of this week as it only gives the team a limited amount of training sessions before the season starts and what's even more concerning is the lack of a squad. The new management team will have a job on their hands working with the same squad again.. any decent players up for grabs will be snapped up so will be a case of chipping away at the side and adding when they can.
HenryHill
I do like a relegated team confirming what league they are playing in the next season. Gives the impression that there was some kind of choice in the matter. Good luck next season. Would be glad to see you back up soon as long as it's not in place of us.
TheScarf
Will definitely be attending the Clach v Brechin game next season, for the novelty factor more than anything else.
Cold Feet
I note interview with interim chair that Lowland League asked if we'd be interested in joining. Said yeh, then they vote against it. Very odd behaviour and then we told it was our idea, at least that's how it was reported. Anyway on we go.

HibeeJibee
SFA not LL. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/2274847/new-brechin-city-chairman-kevin-mackie-ambitious-plans/ No to Lowland League Brechin's route back to the SPFL will definitely NOT be via the Lowland League. City were approached last week and asked if they’d consider being admitted to the Lowland League as an alternative to the Highland League. But after Lowland League clubs initially voted against it, Mackie is not interested in a second vote. “To be honest it’s a shambles,” said Mackie. “The chairman was asked on Thursday morning if the Lowland League were to consider offering a position in their league would we look at it? Purely from a playing point of view – with regards to the travel distance for the players from Brechin to the Highlands but also from the central belt to Glebe Park – we agreed to look at it. We still don’t know. We were told on Friday that it was unanimous support against us. I’ve seen paperwork where the President had asked the Lowland League to reconsider. We’re not interested now. We will go to the Highland League and that’s it.” https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/lowland-league-clubs-unanimously-reject-24210716 The rules of the tier 5 leagues state that Scottish clubs situated below Dundee will enter the Lowland League and clubs, like Brechin City, positioned above the cut-off will enter the Highland League. The Daily Mail reported last night that Brechin offered to pay clubs £1,000 per away fixture in a bid to persuade clubs about their plans. It's understood that those plans would effectively relate to buying 100 tickets at £10 per head. The Glebe Park side also offered free entry to all away supporters for next season. SFA Chief Executive Ian Maxwell called Lowland League boss George Fraser to inform him of Brechin's plans on the morning of the AGM on Thursday. It's understood that Fraser, subsequently, received calls from Brechin City representatives Ken Ferguson and Kevin Mackie as they put their case forward. The proposal was put forward to clubs who rejected it unanimously and as it stands, there are no plans to reconsider the decision.

Delaying the inevitable and hindering themselves. You were always going to the highland league

There was a chance they could have got the boundary shifted because of the way the blazerati operate in Scottish football but it looks like they blew it with what happened on the 2019-20 Club 42 playoff. They had a way out on a technicality because of how the rules were drafted but having it applied created a lot of bitterness against them across both portions of tier 5.
