Just about every part-time club amongst the 42 is basically a bad season or two from falling out of the league completely now. And then were destroyed in the Championship obviously. Not that ambition is something to be applauded - if by 'ambition' people mean spending money they can't really afford. Never really sure why people think that is a good thing. Feel for Brechin fans, but no doubt it is deserved, this season but also last. Given the quality coming up through the leagues I'd like to see promotion/relegation extended to automatic relegation for 10th and play-off for 9th like in the other leagues. San Starko Rover Posted May 23, 2021 Share Posted May 23, 2021 With Shire, Berwick and now Brechin dropping out the league it’s time to open up the bottom to allow free movement between HL/LL and SPFL the current 0.5 relegation just makes it harder for teams to bounce back. I don't recall any of the three non-league outfits clamouring for that change while they were in the tent pissing out of it, so why should it be changed on their account now?
