To make matters even worse Brechin will no longer have the best shrubbery in senior football thanks to Burghead Thistle being on board for next season.

Enjoy the Highland League.

Great result for Scottish football, a club that finished bottom of the entire league structure 14 times in 82 seasons is well overdue their demotion.

Quite a lot of part times teams currently in League One and Two will go in the next few years. Brechin could very easily be any of us part time diddies.

You only have at teams like Lincoln and Tranmere down south to see that dropping out the league isn’t a death knell.

Issue is that it'll almost certainly be a completely different squad for logistical reasons.

Oh well, it's been a blast.  Not been bad for a glorified village team, eh.
