He's supposed to have turned down Premiership clubs earlier on to concentrate on his day job, so he might not be up for midweek away in Wick.

I get your point, but being Aberdeen based that will happen in any league. If he plays in League One there’s the possibility of a midweek in Dumfries. League Two and it’s Stranraer or Annan. Also worth remembering in the SPFL you play away twice. Really we are the only option, ‘Mon Rory, make it happen!

I was just suggesting that Brechin might have to offer him a bit of flexibility in his contract, likely something that Cove weren't willing to.

Hmmmmm. Should have been out of sight by half-time. Some encouraging performances (Patrick, Macleod, Scott); some very worrying ones (McGrath, all the defence).  Rothes looked well off the pace, which makes City’s failure to convert more than one of the dozen chances they had even more concerning.

Defence concerning? Rothes barely had a sniff. Our defence is the best in the league and shouldn’t concede many goals.

Shades of last season where we dominated games and missed countless chances. We really should have won by about 5 goals yesterday but 3 points is the most important thing. Do that every week though and you’ll get punished occasionally.

mcGrath was poor yesterday but showed what he is capable of in pre-season. We need someone to take the burden off him…could there be a development here?

Same link, just easier to get into.

A "substantial five-figure fee" has been accepted by Cove. A real statement of intent from Brechin.

A substantial five figure fee, come on the people in the know how much is it?

That along with his wages, all in gamble for Brechin to get back in the SPFL for a 35/36yr old?

Not slating it, his record speaks for itself, just given the supposed financial outlay at his age its a huge risk.

The courier saying Rory is off to montrose didn't want to drop down to the  Highland league

Pity that he didn't say that before - the club would not have put in a substantial bid for him without being encouraged to do so by the player (or his agent).

Good luck to him wherever he goes though - maybe Montrose can loan us Martin Rennie as he seems way off the pace at the moment after nearly a year out through injury

Hey, well we tried. Was always going to be a big ask.

Yeah was always a long shot shows the club are willing to do what it takes to get us back up. Sure we have other options

He was being polite, really meant to say he didn’t want to come to a club that is sliding down the leagues with no hope of getting back up

1 0 against 10 men a win is a win but it should have been more convicing than that. I've said it before I don't think this team is any better than last seasons we let better players go Wade is banging the  goals in just now. I just don't think kirk is the right man for the job but we shall see
