The Brechin City Thread

Way way back in time when the Mo and Brechin played home and away on the same weekend I would go to the Glebe when it was too far to go for a Mo game. Remember standing by the hedge in a snowstorm for a game v Killie (think Tommy Burns was actually playing that day) .. would hate to see you head into oblivion.

Who are the 2 trialists?
Paton getting backed, assume if they work out others will binned.

Not really sure him getting his nephew in as a trialist for a couple of games is a sign of him being backed tbh

I am sure he will be backed and we will make a better effort than last years disaster to bring in the players required 🤔

Keep the faith Mon The City

How about a wee friendly wager to charity £100 that Brechin will not be playing in the Highland league next year

They deffo won’t be slotted into the lowland league when relegated anyway, last seasons bullshit meant that proposal was kicked right in the sea.

Nice to see spfl clubs won a watch with the “loss of ticket revenue” grants as they receive far more than they would have lost. Nice war chest they’ve got courtesy of the gov and top brass at sfa/spfl ensuring so.

So what's going to happen to the team that finishes bottom then Ken?

I’m sure Ken Ferguson is already lobbying for proposals to be drawn up to stop relegation at the bottom again, assisted by that other clown Donald Findlay.

the answer to covid curtailed season is really simple btw. If league is called on pts per game then you just write into rules that playoffs will take place based on standings. If that means testing then so be it, one off matches at neutral venues to get games played if season is curtailed.

There will be a play off between club 42 and the winners of the play off  of LL &HL ........Assuming of course that there is no covid  stoppage next year................Again another massive f**k up by the incompetent SPFL for not ensuring that everyone knows the procedures right from the start of this campaign.

Hopefully all the spfl clubs use the money wisely to ensure their spfl status remains intact.

Remember many saying that about Montrose a few years ago and look at what has happened, after 20 odd years of absolute shite you came good

Amazing how a wee purple patch can heal those wounds .
