Goalkeepers thrive on confidence.  Playing behind that defence would shatter anyone's confidence .   I did think Sinclair was outstanding in his first game but understandably his form dropped due to aforementioned reason , followed by injury .  Maybe a bit harsh calling him not that good.        On the plus side for him  , he will get plenty practice. emoji6.png

Yeah you maybe have a point there

Goalkeepers Union ;)

(was always my excuse anyway :whistle)

Crash and burn you hedge shagging freaks

Heard from a good brechin inside source called “sug” 🤪 (work it out) if they do go down to the highland league they will cease trading and form an alliance with Montrose and be called North Esk Angus. (Big LOL) a hard one for Montrose and Brechin fans to take knowing there clubs future have spokeabout this behind the scenes.

Any club that drops out of the leagues are never coming back and that’s the harsh reality/ Berwick bottom of the lowland league. All the teams wanting to come up have cash.

This is clearly a concerning time for our club. To be well clear at the bottom of the league is evident that something fundamental needs to change, otherwise we will sleepwalk into the Highland league. In the HL we will struggle to recruit, attendances will be at an all time low. League support money less, lucrative cup run potential even smaller and sponsorship will disappear and the club will slide into even more debt.

The corporate management has not been good enough, whether managers have been given too much power, whether we  spent incorrectly, recruited poorly or did not have a clear business plan, who knows but in 6 months time it could be too late.

In the long term we need a new team managing the club from the board room, more business focused. Invest properly, build feeder relationships with the larger clubs.  Create a more welcoming ground for families, utilise the facilities more than 1 day a fortnight. Bring in alternative incomes to support the football.

Short term, we need 3 or 4 players in January that will keep the team in the league. Either through effective loans or cash needs to be raised to buy out better player contracts.

The current club constitution restricts a lot of the above changes being made. The Board needs to realise that if nothing is done soon they will be responsible for a 3 league collapse and a very uncertain future for the team.

The current board has done great things over the past decade, but needs refreshing and a new direction. We can’t ignore that this is a crisis that is threatening the clubs existence. Something needs to happen in the next 4 weeks or I fear it will be too late.

Great post.   Been thinking similarly over the past few weeks and months but didn't want to be the one to open my mouth again .

I quite liked Jamie in pre-season and in the first few games. He was a bit unlucky to get injured within a few mins of coming in as sub at Albion and never got himself back into contention after that. Shame but these players have got us to the bottom of the SPFL so there can be no room for sentiment. Just have to hope that better is coming in, soon. All the best.
