Anyone but John Hughes, seeing his face every time I go to open this thread will end up giving me PTSD.

Falkirk had their best times in the last 20 years when he was there. Took ICT to their highest ever league position and into Europe after a Scottish Cup win. Got promotion for Hibs back to the Premier league. No record of his successes in beauty pageants though.

Kelty and a couple hanging on to their coat tails, for now, one of whom got hammered by Cove last year disna sound particularly competitive to me.

There’s a train of thought that there are a few teams in the Lowland League investing decent sums to try and get into the SPFL. The Highland League clubs in contrast are less enthusiastic.

Yeah don’t think there is much appetite for SFL football in HL but there is plenty of appetite and competition to win the HL.

On the bright side, if you did go down a short visit to the highland league would be a refreshing change and let’s be honest, you would have a far better chance of returning than Berwick do. There’s little competition in the Highland league compared to the lowland league.

I would say there's less competition big al,not little.

Brora if they dont go up this year,Fraserburgh and Formartine are no mugs.

But agree the SHFL is easier to get out of now(especially that Cove are away) than the SLFL is.

there's more teams that can win the highland league than lowland league.

Cowdenbeath wouldn't have returned from the lowland.  How good does it feel knowing without referees you'd  still be down there?

With some humility and strength of character Cove might have beaten Cowdenbeath fair and square

Cowdenbeath's behaviour post first leg was far worse than the perceived bad behaviour of Cove after the second.

Losing fair and square is painful, losing due to weak officiating, dodgy decisions, is bad enough.  Although the officials didn't cost cove a win, they cost cove the chance to see if they were good enough to win.  Only sending cove players off in the melee was ridiculous, but not as funny as watching your gaffer hide a player in a tyre pitch side to avoid detection.  Was it merited that cove lost 3 player, yes, but Cowdenbeath should have had at least 2 off also.

You're up there with citydiehard on the bell-end scale.

Truth hurts. There’s many good standing people that have walked away due to what goes on. If you can’t see it that’s up to you

There's also a lot of good guys who have dedicated time to work for the club for nothing and don't deserve to have accusations thrown at them.

It must be very easy for you to sit there and bad-mouth these people, yet whenever there's an AGM the only thing anybody has to complain about is why we've bought a tractor or why the tannoy system hasn't been improved.

I think we all need to stop throwing accusations around what's done is done we have to move on hopefully we will have a new management team appointed in the next two weeks and we all need to get behind whoever that may be (including you citydiehard) we may not like certain members of the committee but who else is there to step in and do the alright job there doing free of charge COYR
