Salary cap for L1 & L2 gone already after the PFA appeal. Back to the soft cap by the looks of it.

The long and short of this is the players' union saying

"We would like our members' employers to continue to pay them salaries that the clubs cannot afford, that do not reflect their ability or value to the clubs, and that lead to huge losses across the industry".

It's bat-shit mental.

A win for players and their agents. A loss for the EFL clubs. Also a loss for Scottish clubs, since we compete with EFL clubs for players.

From another read of the statements, I'm not sure if the issue is just procedural and the cap could come back in.
Presumably the PFNCC requires a unanimous vote though.

Referee Darren Drysdale locked heads with Ipswich midfielder Alan Judge in an extraordinary exchange during their goalless League One draw with Northampton.

The official moved his head towards the Irishman late in the game and then briefly appeared to square up to the 32-year-old, before being ushered away by Northampton's Lloyd Jones.

No doubt the referee will be demoted and again players get off scot-free from giving officials dogs abuse.

They really need to make a change in regard to officiating the game. Love it or hate it, rugby is streets ahead in this respect.

Player dives, then gets up pointing and shouting in the ref's face. Ref (who is about 2 feet taller than him) stands his ground, and is shoved away by other players.

If the ref "motions his head forward", he'd also have had to duck in order to headbutt the cheating, diving wee p***k of a player.

Meanwhile Sky are tipping brilliant striker turned good pundit turned lousy manager Thierry Henry as the ideal candidate to lead Bournemouth back to the Premier League

Thierry Henry has a career win percentage of 26% as a manager

Thierry Henry is not the man to lead Bournemouth back to the Premier League
