Oxford vs Crewe called off less than an hour before kick off because a Crewe player has tested positive for Covid

Going to be interesting watching some of the lower leagues sides trying to fit their fixtures in all over the place.

Chris Hughton appointed as the new Nottingham Forest manager . It's their 13th full time manager since Billy Davies first spell in 2011

This thread should be renamed for this season.

Graham Alexander has been. sacked by Salford City and replaced by Paul Scholes. He got the club promoted to the football league. They are currently 5th in League 2 after 5 unbeaten games and only 3 points from the top.

Alexander was rightly sacked IMO.

Salford have a huge budget for that league (mid table league 1) yet he failed to get them near the play offs last season. Players like Towell, Wilson, Hladky, Henderson and others are on 2k+ a week.

They can certainly get a better manager.

Wayne Rooney misses Derby’s next 3 games (including the local derby against Forest), having to self-isolate for 14 days.
Apparently he met a friend ‘to buy a watch off him’ unaware that his pal had tested positive for C19! All sounds a bit dodgy no??

Indeed. The Covid crisis has fairly hit Rooney in the pocket it seems if he's reduced to buying used watches.

What's happened to Sheffield Wednesday? Losing to Rotherham could somewhat be understandable but losing to Wycombe?

Then beating Bournemouth and getting their points deduction reduced to 6 points, meaning they now 5 points just 3 points behind Coventry in 21st.

Garry Monk sacked by Sheffield Wednesday.

To be replaced by Paul Cook, Nigel Pearson or Tony Pulis - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54885374

Paul Cook would be my choice. He did a great a job at Wigan before the takeover and administration debacle.

Change " friend " to Granny and it might be a bit more believable 🙂.

Surely the only reason they've taken a week to make this decision is because they've been organising a successor. Otherwise this should've been done a week ago.

On the subject of Derby I was surprised to see they'd signed Colin Kazim-Richards recently.  Didn't he look past it and largely hopeless during his spell at Celtic a few years ago?

Howlin' at Rooney rocking up at Derby taking every free kick, penalty and throw in. Ousting the manager, throwing his hat in the ring for the job and getting pie'd for John Terry and Ashley Cole.
