Robin.Hood
Steve Bruce in talks to manage Newcastle having managed Sunderland. Managing Sheffield Wednesday having managed Sheffield United. Managing Aston Villa having managed Birmingham City. His lack of loyalty to previous employers is curiously reassuring.Pretty mental

The Naitch
Bury given a 12 point deduction to start the season So that’s both Bury and Bolton starting with a deduction in League One.They’re both in such a state I don’t see them lasting the season.
Calvin Johnson
Has anyone done a Leeds game recently? If so, how did you find getting tickets? Guy at work is from Leeds and seems to reckon they sell out practically every week (or at least did last season).

Due to season ticket renewals and Gold membership uptake no tickets are going to be on sale to the general public this season.

More info from the OS:- Details for supporters ahead of the 2019/20 campaign. For the 2019/20 season, Members will continue to have an exclusive period to book their tickets ahead of general sale. General sale commences upon conclusion of the Gold Members priority period, subject to availability. Due to the anticipated high demand for home match tickets, the number of tickets a Gold Member can purchase will be determined on a match by match basis. It is highly likely that it will be capped at one ticket per Member, in order to make tickets accessible to more Members. Therefore we strongly recommend all supporters purchase a Membership*. This decision has been made in an effort to ensure paying Members have a greater chance of getting hold of a ticket for home games. We currently have approximately 22,500 Gold Members, whilst there are just 7,000 general admission tickets available to purchase. Reducing the amount of tickets each Member can purchase therefore opens up the opportunity for more paying Members to be able to attend home games. Whilst we appreciate this decision may be unpopular with some, we believe that this is the fairest way of operating our home ticket policy this coming season, especially given the rise in tickets appearing on unofficial ticket resale websites during the 2018/19 season. Our match ticket prices for the 2019/20 season have been frozen, however, we have introduced a new age category for those supporters aged 16 to 18 years. Home match tickets can be booked online, via the Leeds United Call Centre on 0371 334 1992 or in person at the West Stand Ticket Office. The Club are no longer accepting postal applications. Due to high demand for tickets and to ensure that all fans have the same opportunity to apply for match tickets, we do not currently offer a ‘guaranteed’ ticket booking service for group bookings. However, this is reviewed on a game by game basis. * Please note, a membership does not guarantee a ticket.

vikingTON
Bury's first game of the season has now been postponed for failing to provide financial guarantees - what an absolute tinpot league the EFL is. Say what you like about the rest of Scottish football is managed, but the authorities (and, by extension, the fans who generally force their hand) are far better at dealing with financial basketcases than the piss-poor measures adopted south of the border. Bury should have been kicked out of the league weeks ago.

WALMOT
Sheffield Wednesday forward Fernando Forestieri has been banned for six matches and fined £25,000 after the Football Association found him guilty of using racist language in a match. The Argentina-born ex-Italy youth international says he will appeal. In March, the 29-year-old was acquitted of racially aggravated harassment and using threatening words or behaviour towards Mansfield's Krystian Pearce. The incident happened in a pre-season game last year which saw a mass brawl. "The striker has also been warned as to his future conduct and must attend face to face education but the sanction is currently set aside pending appeal," an FA statement read. His ban comes on the day the FA increased the minimum ban for racial abuse from five to six matches for the forthcoming season. "I am devastated and disappointed with the decision of the Regulatory Commission that has been published earlier today by the FA," Forestieri sais in a statement issued by his club.
