The players were fantastic and deserve all the praise for the victory. Caley Braves are a good side and are doing well thus far in the Lowland league. Hopefully this current form can continue and the lads can continue to challenge in the cups and league. It has been a considerable time since Dunipace have been in the semi final of a cup. The club is a million miles away from where we were this time 2 years ago, both on the park and off it. Exciting times! Should have stayed in the grade
gaz5
Should have stayed in the grade Ou, stop it you. [emoji846]Delighted with the boys again tonight. For such a young group they are doing superbly, think most who saw the game would concede 2 or 3 wouldn't have flattered. And great to do it with one of our development team playing 90 minutes again as well, Livingstone in goal doing well in only his second start, bar one hairy moment second half. gaz5
Lucky u we had 4 of our 20s in the squad. Had 9 players missing Haha, we had 4 today too. We regularly do. It's what they're there for. Beat Bonnyrigg in the last round with one of them making his debut in the senior team as we were missing 6 on that day (he played 90) and won today with one playing 90 in goal due to suspension too. All part of the game. [emoji846]

Our boys done well it.was just unfortunate we were a makeshift team across the board and missing 2 centre half and our strikers Aye, I wasn't being overly flippant or anything, it's difficult when you're going up against teams from above with so many missing, particularly in key areas. We've been fortunate that the boys who have come in on those occasions have done really well and have had good experience for our group around them, but it doesn't always go that way by any means. Sometimes the making of the young lads though, that's the positive, win or lose its great experience for them.
HibeeJibee
BSCG 1-1 Kelty (aet, FT 1-1) Caledonian Braves 0-1 Dunipace East Kilbride 5-0 Camelon Hill of Beath 5-1 Tranent So your Semi-Finalists are BSC Glasgow, East Kilbride, Hill of Beath Hawthorn and Dunipace... latter who undoubtedly claim 'shock-of-the-day'.

GNU_Linux
Whens the last time Dunipace made the semis of a cup? Assume it's the Central Sectional Cup of 89-90 that they went on to win.

Assume it's the Central Sectional Cup of 89-90 that they went on to win. That's what we are working off. So yes it's been a while.Really pleased for the club.In all fairness, its march, the club is still fighting for trophies on multiple fronts, including still being very much in the mix for the league. It will be an exciting end to the season for the club and its supporters.
gaz5
Whens the last time Dunipace made the semis of a cup? Assume it's the Central Sectional Cup of 89-90 that they went on to win.1998 I think, when winning the Evening times cup.In context though (and I realise this could be seen as controversial but not the intention, just comparing available competitions) the South Challenge is the "biggest" cup in the Lowland Region, rather than an "additional" cup like the evening times was. So comparing with the Junior Cup, it has been a long, long time since making the Semi Final of that. Since winning the competition in 1906, they made the final in 1913 (losing) and last made the semis in 1979.It's a feat that no one at the club is taking lightly, regardless of what happens from here on in. Another good news story following our "rebirth" as a senior club two years ago.

Nimmo's Notes
I remember watching Dunipace in the Junior Cup semi final at a packed Brockville, which went to a second replay. The crowds seemed to get bigger for each game, although the published attendance in the newspaper got smaller! 12,000, 10,000 and 8000 were given. Bit of jiggery pokery going on, I think Dodgy lot at Falkirk.

HibeeJibee
BSC Glasgow 1-0 East Kilbride BSCG win last season's Semi-Final courtesy a goal just after the hour from Darren Christie. Those teams are slated to play their Semi-Final on Wednesday 3rd February if no Saturday becomes available.
HibeeJibee
This edition was first suspended in March last year when the national emergency began. It had both SFs + Final outstanding which were held-over into 2020-21... Final was set for March 14th or 28th in hope of a crowd being permitted. BSCG-East Kilbride completed their SF on Christmas weekend, while Hill of Beath-Dunipace + Final remain outstanding. They've been held-over again into early 2021-22... Final will now be played at Linlithgow on Sunday 15th August.
