Cairn1902
Pleased that The Glens are in a more “beneficial position” to test themselves against the Top League than in 2010.[emoji1319][emoji1319]

You're not kidding. I'd said since 2010 that I wanted to get promoted and take the majority of the squad that got us there into the top league. We were denied that opportunity in 2010, but with almost the full squad that finished the season now signed up again it's been some brilliant work this summer so far by Willie, Joe, George and Hutch. And we will hopefully be adding a few as well...

glensmad
Rutherglen Glencairn will have two teams (blacks and whites) in this year's Walking Football Festival at Glasgow Green Football Centre on Saturday 29th June. The festival is the "non-competitive" event of the day where the teams in each group will play against each other, i.e. ten games for each team. The festival will run alongside the Walking Football Scottish Cup tournaments which are at the same venue on the same day.Our Walking Football group started in September 2018 with a group of eight Glencairn club members getting together to increase their fitness and socialise at the same time. Our numbers have tripled since then, resulting in us moving recently to our new venue at Toryglen Regional Football Centre. Our group meets every Thursday from 7pm till 8pm, and new members are always welcome, regardless of age, gender, fitness level or whatever team you support.
