Peterhead 2019-20

Happy to hear that both Ryan Dow and Ryan Strachan are returning to Balmoor but slightly surprised about Strachan considering the amount of unwarranted criticism he received during his previous spell. Hopefully he will be able to silence his critics this time.

Not to mention the abuse he gave the Peterhead fans as a Cove player. 🙊

I was surprised we let Strachan go, I know he had injury problems last season but when he played he looked very composed and controlled at centre back. Thought he was outstanding against Hibs at Easter Road. I personally would play him ahead of Reynolds at CB.

Can't believe we've kept McIntosh and Masson and let Ryan go. Should have been the other way around for me.

Returns to fitness then he's a solid L1 defender even at 31.

Russell,s attitude is sometimes questionable, got lots of stick from some of our support for being lazy a bit harshly i thought. Think it may have been similar when he left us before & went to Montrose scored a few for them but had a spell loaned to Forfar. More liable to fall over moaning than win a high ball but a handful when in the mood. Still has a year to go on his contract so not sure how much we would be looking for him. Before we lost so many of last years squad was a theory getting rid of a big striker would encourage playing a passing game on the deck which was starting to happen with Russell on the bench although he was said to be carrying an injury.

Any interest in Russell ?.

Clubs not wanting to pay a fee still think he is good option for Queens very difficult to get a big forward who can score goals .

On Peterhead gradually building up a good squad .

We are up at Elgin this weekend for a tournament so will maybe get some idea how we are shaping up. If Russell not involved will know he will be on his way. Think Jim is still looking a few to come in.

Having only ever driven through Peterhead and knowing nothing about where Balmoor is, is there a load of streets in the vicinity of the ground to park in?
You can park for free at the stadium. The streets in the vicinity usually have parking spaces available too.

Ola Adeyemo, who was with us last season, signs a 1 year deal with Peterhead.

He didn't get a fair chance with us under Hartley. We kept putting Leighton, Leitch or Masson on before him frustratingly.

He's raw, got great work-rate, can hold it up well, decent speed and a good left foot. Will grab a few goals but how prolific he'll be is hard to tell. His first touch needs a bit of improvement.

Naturally a striker but could do a job on the left wing.
