League Cup Group D

Recommended Posts

Dundee
Inverness CT
Raith Rovers
Peterhead
Cove Rangers

I think the only fixture that's definite is Dundee v Inverness CT (1st v 2nd), but I can't recall if there's a pattern to the others.

Tough group though. And Peterhead again.

Would be good to be away to Cove to tick their new ground off early on.

Am both looking forward to and feeling nervous about this group. ICT are never fun, Peterhead still lurk in my mind, whereas the other two I'm not as hesitant about. All depends on our swiftness (and actual success) in bringing in top-calibre Championship players.

Prepare to be underwhelmed.

Not a great draw from a footballing point of view - we always do poorly against ICT & Peterhead (how depressing is it to have to admit that second one??!!), Raith are probably the strongest from their pot and Cove will be eager to prove themselves early doors.

However, there is the opportunity for a couple of decent away trips, with all four places being interesting trips. (Was going to say "nice", but that would really be stretching it for Peterhead and Kirkcaldy...)

Presume the ICT game will be on the telly as well.

Hoping for ICT Away on the Saturday fixture [emoji577][emoji481]

Dundee at home will generate the most amount of cash for us.

I’m still cold from being at Peterhead 2 years ago.

And there’s nae pubs close by to Cove’s ground, as I learnt last season in the same fixture - not interested.

Is it still a point for a draw, and an extra point if you win the penalty shoot out?

Coves fine if you go into Aberdeen beforehand and get a taxi up.
