If it's a no for Swanson from the majority, what say the P&B sages about going for this ex player?

I'd take Conway over Swanson, but I doubt a 36yo winger is gonna still 'have it', so no.

I have no idea if Swanson got better once he left us, but he looked past it (despite his young age) in his final season at Tannadice.

Conway on the other hand went on to have a pretty impressive career.

Shala was obviously a cup specialist since he also scored in the League Cup that season.

A midweek trip to Alloa on a warm August evening, if memory serves.  Stevie Banks swinging on the crossbar.  I remember going just to tick another ground off the list and to see an easy win - those were the days!  Little did I know that in the decade to follow we would share a league with them/be beaten by them frequently...

I think this was my first realisation of the complete pointlessness of Scottish football.

Those two cup finals were soul destroying, not only because we lost but because it meant so little to the victors - English football has many, many flaws but it is safe to say that I have never seen winning fans run for the exit doors of Wembley.  I had a chat with a group of Rangers fans immediately after the 2008 Cup final (i.e. less than 5 minutes after the Cup was presented) and they were actually very gracious, saying how much better we had been than them etc. - but they weren't even celebrating; seemingly inconvenienced by the fact that the game had over-run into the early evening.  Such a depressing indictment of Scottish football.

No idea but I'm hoping he brings Hamish along for a game too.

Absolutely.

I reckon Narey and Hegarty are worth a look for our issues at the back though

Given the wailing, greetin' and abuse coming from TRFC and the Ibrox support, I think Dundee fans deserve credit for their composed response to United being awarded the league in similar circumstances.

I'd like to think we'd be as magnanimous in reversed positions.

Stick your tainted title up your arse and f**k off. Good luck with your idiot manager as well.

Thank you.
