To give Chalmers the man of the match is criminal though, he genuinely did f**k all in the entire match bar trying to flick the ball through his opponents legs and failing pretty much every time. Given that performance maybe they were right. But let’s put that into context. Neilson was allowed to bring in 11 players at the mid season transfer window. He’s been given pretty much carte blanch this summer. Yet it might be one our best wide attacking players is a lad not even listed in the reserve squad. Right now I’d be playing Butcher and Stanton in there. Thought Appere looked good in spells but faded badly, Chalmers bit hot and cold too but couple great bits of skill. Shankland makes good runs but we rarely found him.
