How does this work then, guaranteed to play a colts side but are the seeded clubs all at home or is there another pot to draw home or away?

Sherrif John Bunnell
That's some distance the North region is covering. Brora and Coatbidge are barely in the same hemisphere.

With the teams they have, it’s probably the best split they could manage... although a swap with Kelty might have been better Edited June 24, 2019 by Spyro

It’s the best split they could do, someone’s always going to be the Dumbarton in the North ain’t they. Im_Rodger
If it is based on last year it will probs be:- Solihull Moors Wrexham * The New Saints Connah’s Quay Nomads Linfield [emoji636] Ballymena United [emoji636] Waterford [emoji1132] Bohemians [emoji1132] *Wrexham are a Welsh team that plays in the English league setup. Im_Rodger
Also appears that there is no sponsor this season.
craigkillie
Notable that it was referred to as the Challenge Cup rather than the IRN-BRU Cup, and that the draw is coming from a secret location. Presumably the home of whoever the new sponsors may be.

Poet of the Macabre
Wish we'd refuse to take part in this shite. Club lost money playing in the competition last season.

HibeeJibee
Presumably they've seeded that by the main stadiums of the 'B' teams. Rangers have normally used Forthbank in Stirling which is further north than Livingston or venues Hearts and Hibs have used. Also looks like they've specifically allocated pair of last season's SPFL2 clubs to each half - Kelty and BSC Glasgow (unless someone at SPFL HQ thinks they play in Glasgow not Alloa) are both further north than Coatbridge. I'd be surprised if they make the 'B' teams play away. Reduces their chance of winning and emphasises poor crowds... Perhaps it'll be a random draw for each tie or it'll alternate every tie.

Fuctifano
Guessing it's a 2nd tier bookie that's the sponsor.
