Are the amateurs shut down coz of the tiers in Scotland, or part of a lockdown ? Hopefully the games will restart asap, sure the players just want to play at this level. The English FA said car share, wearing masks and having the windows open - then I guess the players went home or to the pubs. Haven't heard of  loads of cases due to football, let people play !

All the teams in the central region were stopped from playing/training by the government. They are now allowed to train non-contact again but with players and coaches not allowed to travel into other council districts not sure how this will work for some teams. I’d be shocked if there are games played before Xmas. I think March/April is probably a more realistic guess.

Have Finnart left the league altogether? Saw on twitter they were joining the WOSL but not sure if a team will remain in the cale league?

Heard Finnart will retain team in the Caledonian League.

New season now started. What’s everyone’s tips?

Think if anyone finishes above Dunbarton then they will be champions of the prem. I do think about 5 or 6 teams will really fancy there chances though.

1st division looks really competitive again. St Joes starting well at the weekend but haven’t actually seen them play. Told they’re a good team. Cambusbarron 2 from 2. Milton won there summer league. Another few clubs as well will be going for promotion. Should be a cracking league.

You sure? After their start this season they’ll be lucky to get out the first division never mind challenging for the premier next year

Although the Central Scottish is more successful in the SAFA Amateur Cup the facilities of some of the Caledonian League clubs seems to be better. Any of them thinking of moving up to the WoS in the seasons to come?

Westerlands backed off stepping up last time. Are they likely to try again sometime?

Moving up without sustainable funding in place and a long term plan is just insanity. Some clubs who have stepped up will not last.
