HibsFan
So a Timmy copper can’t hack a Copenhagen winner and a player gets charged as a result? What a backwards police force we have in this country.

All 4 goals conceded in this tie are all laughably bad goals to lose aswell. I mean we werent great in the 1st half tonight, but still looked comfortable and created the better chances but after Jozo's howler in the 2nd half everything went to shit in a hurry and the team panicked and too many players just simply weren't at the races. ach well Lets be frank here, Celtic are bang average.
djchapsticks
Embarrassing stuff from Police Scotland. The cop is solely at fault here and the resulting fracas is a direct result of his actions.
Detournement
Police Scotland are a tinpot joke. They can't prosecute anyone for effigies hung at Celtic Park and it takes 30 years to catch up with paedophiles but score a goal that embarasses Celtic and go straight to court.
Melanius Mullarkey
This Catholic conspiracy goes right to the very fucking top. Score against Celtic, go to jail.

Ridiculous in the first place that the policeman is running at a footballer who has just scored and manhandling him in the middle of a celebration, especially when he’s running towards his own fans. No wonder his teammate pushes him out of the way. Hopefully this nonsense gets treated with the contempt it deserves The cop that got knocked over had braid on his hat so had to be an Inspector at the very least. Made to look a twat in front of his troops - no other course of action for him to take - what an idiot. It used to be the case if you committed an offence at the football you were a custody for court the next day. Did the Copenhagen player get arrested after the game ? 54_and_counting
Supposedly the steward that tried to calm it down has been arrested as well

Have never seen a steward or the police attempting to rugby tackle a player celebrating a goal. Embarrassing enough that this happened, but to double down on it and charge the player for assault. Holy f**k.
roverthemoon
3 hours ago, harry94 said: Aside from the cost to the tax payer and international embarrassment, you also can tell fairly easily that it was a genuine accident from the player when you see the footage from another angle. The first policeman attempts to rugby tackle the goalscorer and goes for him perpendicularly then the second one charges in and blocks off the team mate who was celebrating. It's not that clear on the BT footage but the player who knocked him over had a panicked reflex of putting his arms out almost in an attempt to catch him again and was startled at the response. Fair enough, heat of the moment I could understand why maybe mistakes were made and organisation for situations like that aren't normally tested but the fact that people have gotten to work this morning and this decision has went through multiple ranks . What's even worse is that in the chaos, one of them completely loses their head and aggressively confronts a steward who is doing his job and trying to resume the players back to play (as best he can in the midst of the organisational structure collapsing). One of them then initiates an unprovoked attack on him and he reacts a little bit as anyone would and tries to recapture some space for himself to adjust to what's going on. He's then roughly arrested and then charged this morning. Cheers for this video. A better angle and a quite enjoyable watch
bennett
Police Scotland making us all look ridiculous with this nonsense, hopefully common sense prevails and the charges are dropped, along with an apology.
54_and_counting
Accidentally knocking a bobby over gets you arrested, stealing one of their hats on purpose to celebrate a goal is deemed fine Fucking shambolic police force
Jim McLean's Ghost
Procurator Fiscal needs to tell the police to bolt. Charging folk because one police officer lost his composure and grabbed a player shows the pigheadedness of police scotland. Can never accept that they haven't done their job properly. At the end of the game the police were in a line facing the pitch gurning at the Copenhagen players. Idiots. If there is going to be a public order offense it is far more likely to be from the thousands of fans in the away end, not the 20 guys on the park. They stopped one copenhagen player going in to either talk to or give something to a fan. Police were RAGING.

GordonD
Celtic have actually been quite considerate here, making sure their supporters don't run the risk of exposure to coronavirus by having to travel into Europe.

gannonball
The player getting reported by the police is utterly ridiculous and I cant ever remember this happening before. UEFA should really send a message to our Establishment and ban any more Scottish teams left in European football this season imo.
